Tiles- The architexture of Illudion

The Architecture Of Illusion

Architectural decoration in all its forms and styles has the power to raise a building from the mundane status of a simple structure to a palace of delight with new meanings and values: few materials aid this process more than richly coloured and highly glazed ceramic tiles.

tradition of tiles and Sources

As old as knowledge, as universal as learning is the way in wich the largest tile manufacturer in Britain H&R Johnson, described tiles in the advertising copy of the 1970s. tiles and the home

Using tiles in the home, especially for bathrooms and kitchens, has now become so common place that many people would regard them as indispensable. In countries with a long tradition of making and using tiles such as Holland and Spain, their use around the home has helped to reflect the status of its occupants. Indeed in Spain in the 19th century:to have a house without tiles became a proverbial expression for poverty.
Industrial mass production of tiles and their improved distribution enabled the homes of all sectors of society, whether situated in a traditional tile-making area or not. to benefit from a ceramic material that could be both cheap and beautiful.

What do we do with the tiles

Ceramic tiles in my home

Introduction
The term tile is bewilderingly vague in the English language. In its widest sense it can refer to any sort of material, whether is stone, vinyl or even carpet, wich is used in a (usually square or rectangular) modular form.

In this blog we will only be writting about the most beautifull of the tiles.
Tiles made of clay by human hands.
The long and geographically diverse pedigree of tiles had a strong fascination in past centuries and we want to awaken this fascination today.

"My home bolartani blog" wants to show you how you can make your own home not only spectacular but warm and inviting.
